Yellowtail Roll Sushi

The Yellowtail Roll Sushi is a popular Japanese dish. It is a type of maki sushi, or rolled sushi, that consists of yellowtail fish, which is also known as hamachi, and other ingredients, such as cucumber, scallions, and avocado, wrapped in seaweed and rice. The roll is usually served with a side of soy sauce and wasabi. It is a light, refreshing, and flavorful dish that is a favorite among sushi lovers.

Ingredients (2 Persons)

  • ½ pound yellowtail fillet, sliced
  • 4 sheets of sushi nori
  • 1 cup cooked sushi rice
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1 cucumber, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
  • Soy sauce, for dipping

Directions

  • Step 1
    Lay a sheet of nori on a sushi rolling mat and spread about 1/4 cup of sushi rice over the nori, leaving a 1/2 inch gap at the top.
  • Step 2
    Lay the slices of yellowtail in the center of the rice, then top with avocado and cucumber slices.
  • Step 3
    Roll the sushi roll tightly, using the sushi mat to help shape and compact the roll.
  • Step 4
    Cut the sushi roll into 8 pieces and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds. Serve with soy sauce.
