Vegetable Futomaki Sushi Roll

Vegetable Futomaki Sushi Roll is a traditional Japanese dish made with a variety of vegetables and sushi rice. The vegetables are usually rolled in nori seaweed and the sushi rice is typically seasoned with a mixture of vinegar, sugar and salt. Vegetable Futomaki can be served as an appetizer, side dish, or main course. It is often served with a dipping sauce, such as soy sauce. Vegetable Futomaki is a great way to get your daily servings of vegetables and can be a fun and healthy alternative to a traditional sushi roll.

  • 2 tablespoons white sesame seeds
  • 1 cucumber, cut into thin strips
  • 1 avocado, cut into thin strips

Directions

  • Step 1
In a medium bowl, combine the cooked rice and sushi vinegar, stirring until the vinegar is thoroughly mixed in. Set aside.
  • Step 2

  • Step 6
Using a sharp knife, cut the roll into 8 equal pieces. Serve immediately.
