General Tso's Chicken

General Tso's Chicken is a popular Chinese-American dish that is served in many Chinese restaurants around the world. It is a deep-fried chicken dish that is usually served with a sweet and spicy sauce. It is named after the 19th-century Chinese military leader and statesman, Zuo Zongtang, who is also known as General Tso. The dish is believed to have been created in the 1950s in Taiwan and first introduced to the United States in the 1970s. It is typically served with steamed white rice and is a favorite among Chinese food lovers.

  • Step 4
Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened and the chicken is cooked through.
