Thai Massaman Beef Curry

Thai Massaman beef curry is a moderately spicy curry dish that is popular in Thailand. It is made with beef, potatoes, peanuts, and a variety of spices. Ingredients (2 Persons)

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric

Directions

  • Step 1
    Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds, stirring constantly.
  • Step 2
    Add the ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, coriander, cumin, and turmeric to the skillet and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  • Step 3
    Add the beef to the skillet and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Add the coconut milk, fish sauce, and brown sugar to the skillet and stir to combine.
  • Step 4
    Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook, stirring occasionally, until the beef is tender, about 15 minutes. Serve with steamed rice.
