Sticky Sesame Chicken

Ingredients (2 Persons)
- 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 3 tablespoons oil, divided
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Directions

Step 1
In a medium bowl, mix together the cornstarch, baking soda, salt, and pepper. Toss the chicken pieces in the cornstarch mixture until evenly coated.

Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken pieces and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of oil to the skillet. Add the garlic and ginger and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add the honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, sesame seeds, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir until combined.

Return the chicken to the skillet and stir until the chicken is coated in the sauce. Cook until the sauce is thick and sticky, about 3 minutes. Serve warm.
