Shrimp and Asparagus Stir-Fry

Ingredients (2 Persons)

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 pound asparagus, trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds

Directions

  • Step 1
    Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the olive oil and heat until shimmering.
  • Step 2
    Add the shrimp and cook until they are almost cooked through, about 3 minutes. Add the asparagus and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Add the garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.
  • Step 4
    Stir in the soy sauce and honey and cook for 1 minute more.
  • Step 5
    Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the sesame oil. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve.
