Korean-Style Beef Bowl

Korean-Style Beef Bowl is a popular dish in Korea, often served as a one-dish meal. It consists of a beef patty, vegetables, and a savory sauce over steamed rice. It is usually served with kimchi, a spicy fermented cabbage dish. The beef patty can be made from ground beef, pork, chicken, or turkey. The vegetables typically include carrots, bell peppers, and mushrooms. The savory sauce usually consists of a combination of soy sauce, sesame oil, and garlic.

Ingredients (2 Persons)

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 cups cooked white rice

Directions

  • Step 1
In a medium bowl, stir together the soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes.
  • Step 2
Add the ground beef to the bowl and stir to coat in the marinade.
  • Step 3
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef and marinade to the skillet and cook for 5-8 minutes, until the beef is cooked through.
  • Step 4
Serve over cooked white rice and garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions, if desired.
