Indonesian Nasi Goreng

Ingredients (2 Persons)
- 4 cups cooked white rice
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1 large carrot, diced
- 1 red bell pepper, diced
- 1/2 cup frozen peas
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sweet soy sauce
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 3 green onions, sliced
Directions

Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and onion and cook until they are softened and fragrant, about 2 minutes.

Stir in the turmeric, carrot, bell pepper, and peas and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Stir in the cooked rice and cook for 3-4 minutes, until the rice is heated through.

Push the rice to the side of the skillet, creating a well in the center. Pour the beaten eggs into the well and scramble them with a spatula, stirring them into the rice as they cook.

Stir in the green onions, then remove the skillet from the heat.
