Tandoori Chicken Curry

Ingredients (2 Persons)

  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/4 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon tandoori masala
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (14.5-ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream

Directions

  • Step 1
    In a large bowl, combine the chicken, yogurt, tandoori masala, cumin, garlic powder, ginger, paprika, turmeric, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, and salt. Toss to coat the chicken evenly.
  • Step 2
    Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Add the chicken to the skillet and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 10 minutes.
  • Step 4
    Stir in the tomatoes and cream and simmer until the sauce has thickened, about 10 minutes.
  • Step 5
    Serve the curry over cooked basmati rice or with naan bread.
