Kaiso Maki Sushi
Kaiso Maki Sushi is a Japanese sushi roll made with seaweed and fish, usually tuna or salmon. It is a popular dish in Japan, and is served with soy sauce, wasabi, and pickled ginger. Ingredients (2 Persons)
- 4 cups cooked sushi rice
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 4 sheets nori seaweed
- 1/2 cucumber, cut into thin strips
- 1/2 avocado, cut into thin strips
- 1/4 cup cooked crab meat, shredded
- 1/4 cup cooked shrimp, shredded
Directions

Step 1
Combine the rice vinegar, sugar, and salt in a small bowl and mix until the sugar is dissolved.

In a large bowl, combine the cooked rice and the vinegar mixture, stirring until the rice is evenly coated.

Lay a sheet of nori seaweed on a bamboo sushi mat. Spread 1 cup of the rice evenly onto the nori, leaving about 1/2 inch on one side.

Arrange the cucumber, avocado, crab meat, and shrimp in a line down the center of the rice.

Lift the edge of the bamboo mat closest to you and begin to roll it over the fillings until you have formed a cylinder.

Wet the end of the nori with a bit of water to seal the roll.

Repeat with the remaining ingredients to make 3 more rolls.

Cut each roll into 8 pieces and serve with soy sauce.
