Chinese Garlic Sauce

Chinese garlic sauce is a popular Chinese condiment used in many Chinese dishes, especially stir-fries. Ingredients (2 Persons)

  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Directions

  • Step 1
    Heat the vegetable oil in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  • Step 2
    Add the garlic and cook, stirring, until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Step 3
    Stir in the soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, honey, sesame oil, ground ginger, and red pepper flakes.
  • Step 4
    Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened.
  • Step 5
    Remove the sauce from the heat and let cool before serving.
