Korean-Style Fried Rice

Ingredients (2 Persons)

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1/2 cup carrots, diced
  • 1/2 cup frozen peas and carrots
  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon sesame oil

Directions

  • Step 1
    Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and onion and cook until the onion is softened, about 5 minutes.

    Add the carrots and peas and carrots and cook until the carrots are tender, about 5 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Add the cooked rice and stir to combine. Cook for 3-4 minutes, until the rice is heated through.
  • Step 4
    Stir in the soy sauce and sesame oil and cook for 1-2 minutes, until the flavors are combined.
  • Step 5
    Serve the fried rice warm.
