Vegan Temari Sushi

Ingredients (2 Persons)

  • 2 cups cooked sushi rice
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sake
  • 4 sheets nori (dried seaweed)
  • Toppings of your choice, such as cucumber, avocado, carrots, radishes, crab sticks, omelette, etc.

Directions

  • Step 1
    In a small bowl, mix together the rice vinegar, soy sauce, and sake.
  • Step 2
    Lay a sheet of nori on a bamboo mat or other flat surface. Spread about 1/2 cup of cooked sushi rice on the nori, leaving a 1/2 inch border along the edges.
  • Step 3
    Arrange your desired toppings on the rice. You can use one type of topping or mix and match several different types.
  • Step 4
    Lift the edge of the bamboo mat closest to you and roll the sushi away from you, pressing firmly to shape the roll. Repeat the rolling process with the remaining ingredients.
