Indonesian Fried Rice

Ingredients (2 Persons)
- 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 3 cups cooked white rice
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup oyster sauce
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1/2 cup frozen peas and carrots, thawed
- 1/2 cup diced ham (optional)
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Step 1
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and ginger and cook, stirring frequently, until fragrant, about 1 minute.

Stir in the cooked white rice, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Cook, stirring constantly, until the rice is heated through, about 2-3 minutes.

Push the rice mixture to one side of the skillet and add the eggs to the empty side. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the eggs are scrambled, about 2-3 minutes.

Stir the peas, carrots, ham (if using), and green onions into the rice. Cook, stirring constantly, until vegetables are tender and heated through, about 2-3 minutes.

Season with salt and pepper, to taste. Serve immediately.
