Thai Green Papaya Salad
Thai Green Papaya Salad, or Som Tam in Thai, is a traditional Southeast Asian dish made from unripened papaya, fish sauce, lime juice, chili peppers, garlic, and sometimes other ingredients such as peanuts, tomatoes, and shrimp. Ingredients (2 Persons)
- 2 large green papayas
- 1 large carrot, julienned
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 red bell pepper, julienned
- 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
- 2 tablespoons fish sauce
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes
Directions

Step 1
Peel and cut the papaya into thin strips. Place the strips in a large bowl and add the carrot, garlic, bell pepper, and cilantro.

In a small bowl, whisk together the fish sauce, lime juice, sugar, sesame oil, and chili flakes. Pour the dressing over the salad and toss to combine.
