Thai Basil Chicken

Ingredients (2 Persons)

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into cubes
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup fish sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh ginger
  • 2 tablespoons red chili pepper flakes
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 4 cups cooked jasmine rice

Directions

  • Step 1
    In a large bowl, combine the soy sauce, fish sauce, brown sugar, vegetable oil, garlic, ginger, and red chili pepper flakes. Add the cubed chicken and stir to coat.
  • Step 2
    Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and marinade to the skillet and cook until the chicken is no longer pink, about 5 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Add the bell pepper and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  • Step 4
    Stir in the fresh basil leaves and cook for 1 minute.
  • Step 5
    Serve the chicken over cooked jasmine rice.
