Crispy Tofu Stir-Fry
Crispy Tofu Stir-Fry is a delicious and nutritious dish that combines tofu with a variety of vegetables, spices, and sauces. Ingredients (2 Persons)
- 1 block extra firm tofu, drained and pressed
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 2 bell peppers, diced
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
Directions

Step 1
Cut the tofu into cubes, and place it onto a paper-towel lined plate. Sprinkle the tofu lightly with salt and let it sit for 10-15 minutes.

Heat the oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and ginger and cook for 1 minute.

Add the bell peppers, onion, and mushrooms and cook for 3-4 minutes, until the vegetables begin to soften.

In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, sesame oil, cornstarch, and water. Set aside.

Add the tofu cubes to the skillet and cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes. Pour the soy sauce mixture over the tofu and stir to combine.

Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes, until the sauce has thickened and the vegetables are tender.
