Prawn Sashimi

Prawn sashimi is a Japanese dish consisting of raw prawns, usually served with a variety of condiments. Ingredients (2 Persons)

  • 1 pound fresh prawns, shelled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 4 tablespoons mirin
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons wasabi paste
  • 2 tablespoons finely grated fresh ginger
  • 3 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)

Directions

  • Step 1
    Place the prawns in a shallow bowl and season with soy sauce, mirin, sesame oil, wasabi paste, and grated ginger. Mix well to combine.
  • Step 2
    Spread the prawns out on a large platter and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and chili flakes (if using). Serve chilled with extra soy sauce and wasabi paste, if desired.
