Prawn and Chickpea Curry

Ingredients (2 Persons)
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons of grated ginger
- 2 teaspoons of ground cumin
- 2 teaspoons of ground coriander
- ½ teaspoon of ground turmeric
- 1 teaspoon of garam masala
- 2 tablespoons of tomato puree
- 1 can of chopped tomatoes
- 2 cups of cooked chickpeas
- 1 pound of peeled and deveined prawns
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions

Step 1
Heat the oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.

Add the onion and garlic and cook for 5 minutes until softened.

Stir in the ginger, cumin, coriander, turmeric, and garam masala and cook for 1 minute.

Stir in the tomato puree and cook for another minute.

Pour in the chopped tomatoes and simmer for 15 minutes.

Add the chickpeas and prawns and season with salt and pepper.

Simmer for 5 minutes until the prawns are cooked through.
