Korean Kalbi
Korean Kalbi is a popular Korean dish that consists of marinated and grilled beef short ribs. It is usually made from beef ribs that have been marinated in a mixture of soy sauce, sugar, garlic, and other seasonings. Ingredients (2 Persons)
- 2 pounds beef short ribs, cut into individual ribs
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 3 tablespoons rice wine (or mirin)
- 3 tablespoons minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
Directions

Step 1
In a large bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, rice wine, garlic, sesame oil, and ginger.

Add the ribs to the marinade and mix to coat evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight.

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

Arrange the ribs in a single layer on a baking sheet. Reserve the remaining marinade.

Bake for 20 minutes, flipping the ribs once halfway through.

Brush the ribs with the remaining marinade and bake for an additional 10 minutes.

Remove from the oven and serve.
