Chinese Dim Sum
Chinese dim sum is a type of cuisine that originated in the Cantonese region of southern China. Ingredients (2 Persons)
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 cup cold water
- 1/4 cup boiled shrimp
- 1/4 cup diced pork
- 1/4 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1/4 cup diced carrots
- 1/4 cup diced cabbage
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
Directions

Step 1
In a large bowl, mix together flour, baking powder and salt. Add vegetable oil and mix until it forms a crumbly texture.

Slowly add cold water and mix with a spoon until it forms a dough. Knead the dough for 5 minutes and then cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.

Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and flatten it with a rolling pin. Place a teaspoon of filling in the center of each flattened dough.

Fold the edges of the dough into the center and pinch to seal. Place the dim sum on a lightly greased baking sheet.

Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes. Serve hot with soy sauce and sesame oil.
