Orange Chicken

Orange chicken is a popular Chinese-American dish that is known for its sweet and tangy orange flavor. Ingredients (2 Persons)

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ginger powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Directions

  • Step 1
    Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Step 2
    Combine the flour, salt, and pepper in a shallow dish. Dredge the chicken cubes in the flour mixture, shaking off excess.
  • Step 3
    Add the chicken to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden and cooked through.
  • Step 4
    Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  • Step 5
    In a small bowl, whisk together the orange juice, honey, soy sauce, garlic powder, ginger powder, and red pepper flakes.
  • Step 6
    Add the sauce to the skillet and bring to a boil. Cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly, until the sauce has thickened.
  • Step 7
    Add the chicken back to the skillet and stir to coat in the sauce. Cook for 1-2 minutes, until heated through.
