Myanmar Tea Leaf Salad

Ingredients (2 Persons)

  • 1 cup dried tea leaves
  • 1/2 cup roasted peanuts
  • 1/2 cup roasted sesame seeds
  • 1/4 cup fried garlic
  • 1/4 cup fried yellow split peas
  • 1/4 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1/4 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon sugar

Directions

  • Step 1
    In a large bowl, combine the tea leaves, peanuts, sesame seeds, garlic, yellow split peas, cabbage, carrots, green onions, and cilantro.
  • Step 2
    In a small bowl, whisk together the sesame oil, fish sauce, lime juice, and sugar. Pour the dressing over the tea leaf mixture and toss to combine.
  • Step 3
    Serve the salad at room temperature or chilled.
