Korean Spicy Pork

Korean Spicy Pork is a popular dish in Korean cuisine. It is made with pork marinated in a spicy sauce, usually a combination of gochujang (Korean chili paste), soy sauce, garlic, sesame oil, and sugar. The pork is then stir-fried with vegetables such as onions, bell peppers, carrots, and mushrooms. The dish is usually served with steamed white rice and is a great way to spice up a meal.

Ingredients (2 Persons)

  • 2 pounds pork shoulder, cut into cubes
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 2 tablespoons mirin
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds

Directions

  • Step 1
In a large bowl, mix together the soy sauce, honey, gochujang, mirin, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and rice wine vinegar.
  • Step 2
Add the pork cubes to the marinade and mix until all of the pork is coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Step 3
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the pork and marinade. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the pork is cooked through, about 10 minutes.
  • Step 4
Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the sesame seeds. Serve the pork warm with steamed white rice and vegetables.
