Japanese Tonkatsu

Tonkatsu is a Japanese dish consisting of a breaded, deep-fried pork cutlet and typically served with shredded cabbage, tonkatsu sauce, rice and miso soup. The pork cutlet is usually sliced from the loin, although other cuts of pork may be used. It is usually served with shredded cabbage and a thick Worcestershire-like sauce called tonkatsu sauce. It is a popular dish served in many restaurants in Japan, and is also a popular home-cooked meal.
