Boston Roll Sushi

The Boston Roll sushi is a popular sushi roll that is made with cooked shrimp, lettuce, and mayonnaise. It is usually served with a side of soy sauce or ponzu sauce. Originating in Massachusetts, the Boston Roll has become popular across the United States and other parts of the world. It is often served in sushi restaurants and can also be made at home. The Boston Roll is a great choice for sushi lovers who don't like raw fish.

Ingredients (2 Persons)

  • 2 cups cooked sushi rice
  • 4 sheets nori (dried seaweed)
  • 1/2 cup cooked crab meat, shredded
  • 1/2 cup cooked shrimp, diced
  • 1/2 cup cucumber, julienned
  • 1/2 cup avocado, diced

Directions

  • Step 1
Lay a sheet of nori on a bamboo rolling mat, shiny side down. Spread 1/4 cup of cooked sushi rice over the nori, making sure to spread it evenly across the sheet.
  • Step 2
Lay 1/4 of the crab, shrimp, cucumber, and avocado in a line lengthwise across the nori.
  • Step 3
Using the bamboo rolling mat, carefully roll the nori into a tight log, using your fingers to press the ingredients together and making sure the roll is even and tight.
  • Step 4
Using a sharp knife, cut the roll into 8-10 pieces. Serve immediately with soy sauce and wasabi for dipping.
