Grilled Tofu Satay

Grilled Tofu Satay is a delicious vegan dish that is sure to please! It is made with marinated grilled tofu cubes and served with a flavorful peanut sauce. The grilled tofu is marinated in a mixture of soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and spices, and then grilled to perfection. The peanut sauce is made from a combination of peanut butter, coconut milk, and other spices. The combination of marinated grilled tofu and the flavorful peanut sauce make this a tasty and satisfying vegan meal.

Ingredients (2 Persons)

  • 1 (14-ounce) package extra-firm tofu
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin

Directions

  • Step 1
    Press the tofu for at least 30 minutes. This will help remove some of the extra liquid and make the tofu firmer.
  • Step 2
    In a shallow dish, combine the soy sauce, lime juice, honey, rice vinegar, ginger, garlic, red pepper flakes, coriander, and cumin.
  • Step 3
    Cut the tofu into 8 equal slices and place in the marinade. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  • Step 4
    Preheat a grill to medium-high heat. Remove the tofu from the marinade and discard the marinade. Grill the tofu for 4-5 minutes per side, until lightly charred and crisp.
  • Step 5
    Serve the tofu satay with your favorite dipping sauce. Enjoy!
