Inari Sushi

Inari sushi is a type of sushi that is typically made with deep-fried tofu pockets filled with sushi rice and a variety of other ingredients such as vegetables, seafood, and eggs. Ingredients (2 Persons)

  • 4 sheets of inari/abura-age (deep-fried tofu)
  • 4 cups cooked sushi rice
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup mirin
  • 2 tablespoons sugar

Directions

  • Step 1
    Cut open each sheet of inari/abura-age. Rinse them in cold water and squeeze out the excess liquid.
  • Step 2
    In a small saucepan, combine the soy sauce, mirin, and sugar. Heat the mixture over medium heat until the sugar has dissolved.
  • Step 3
    Add the cooked rice to the saucepan and stir until it is evenly coated. Remove from the heat and let cool.
  • Step 4
    Fill each sheet of inari/abura-age with the sushi rice. Arrange them on a plate and serve.
