Crispy Salt and Pepper Squid

Ingredients (2 Persons)

  • 1 pound squid, cleaned and cut into rings
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 cup olive oil

Directions

  • Step 1
    In a medium bowl, combine the flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, oregano, and cayenne pepper.
  • Step 2
    Add the squid rings to the bowl and toss to coat.
  • Step 3
    Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the squid rings and cook for 3-4 minutes, until golden and crisp.
  • Step 4
    Remove the squid from the pan and serve with a lemon wedge, if desired.
