Beef Curry

Ingredients (2 Persons)

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons curry powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (14 ounces) coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup frozen peas

Directions

  • Step 1
    Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until it is no longer pink, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks.
  • Step 2
    Add the onion, garlic, and ginger to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are softened.
  • Step 3
    Stir in the curry powder, garam masala, cumin, and turmeric. Cook for 1-2 minutes, until the spices are fragrant.
  • Step 4
    Add the diced tomatoes, coconut milk, and water to the skillet. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 5-10 minutes, until the sauce has thickened and the flavors have melded together.
  • Step 5
    Add the frozen peas to the skillet and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, until the peas are heated through.
