Korean Bibimbap Bowls

Korean Bibimbap Bowls are a popular Korean dish consisting of warm white rice and a variety of vegetables, meat, and other ingredients. Ingredients (2 Persons)

  • 1 pound ground beef or pork
  • 3 cups cooked brown rice
  • 1/2 cup kimchi, chopped
  • 1/2 cup bean sprouts
  • 1/2 cup gochujang
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil or olive oil
  • 2 cups zucchini, diced
  • 2 cups carrots, diced
  • 2 cups mushrooms, diced
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped

Directions

  • Step 1
    Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef or pork and cook until it is no longer pink, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks.
  • Step 2
    Add the zucchini, carrots, mushrooms, and green onions to the skillet and cook until the vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Stir in the gochujang, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Cook for 1-2 minutes, until the flavors have melded together.
  • Step 4
    Divide the cooked brown rice among four large bowls. Top each bowl with the cooked beef or pork mixture, kimchi, and bean sprouts.
  • Step 5
    Drizzle each bowl with 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil or olive oil and serve.
