Avocado Roll Sushi

Avocado Roll Sushi is a type of sushi roll that is popular in many parts of the world. It is made with a combination of sushi rice, Nori seaweed, and avocado. The roll can be served as a single piece or cut into small pieces for an appetizer. It is a favorite among sushi lovers for its creamy texture and subtle flavor. The avocado adds a rich and creamy texture to the sushi, while the Nori gives it a crunchy texture. Avocado Roll Sushi is a great way to enjoy sushi without the need for raw fish.

Ingredients (2 Persons)

  • 2 cups cooked sushi rice
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 sheets nori seaweed
  • 1 ripe avocado, sliced

Directions

  • Step 1
In a medium bowl, combine the cooked sushi rice, rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. Mix together until the sugar and salt are completely dissolved.
  • Step 2
Lay a sheet of nori on a sushi rolling mat or clean kitchen towel. Wet your hands and spread ½ cup of the sushi rice over the nori, leaving a ½ inch border on one side.
  • Step 3
Arrange several slices of avocado in a line across the center of the sushi rice. Gently press the avocado into the rice.
  • Step 4
Pick up the end of the sushi rolling mat closest to you and roll the sushi away from you, pressing the sushi roll firmly as you roll. When the roll is complete, press the remaining ½ inch of nori onto the roll. Slice the roll into 8 pieces with a sharp knife.
