Asian Beef & Broccoli

  • 1 1/2 pounds flank steak, thinly sliced

  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh ginger
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1/2 cup beef broth

Directions

  • Step 1
    In a medium bowl, combine the flank steak, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt. Mix until the steak is evenly coated.
  • Step 2
    Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak and cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the steak is lightly browned.
  • Step 3
    Add the garlic, ginger, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and honey to the skillet and stir to combine. Cook for 1-2 minutes, until the sauce is thickened.
  • Step 4
    Add the broccoli and beef broth to the skillet and stir to combine. Cover and cook for 5-6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the broccoli is tender. Serve over rice or noodles.
