Easy Egg Drop Soup

  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 4 eggs, beaten

Directions

  • Step 1
    Heat the oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add the ginger and garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Step 2
    Add the chicken broth, soy sauce, and white pepper. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  • Step 3

    In a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and 1/4 cup of water until combined. Slowly pour the cornstarch mixture into the soup, stirring constantly.
  • Step 5
    Bring the soup to a simmer and slowly pour in the beaten eggs, stirring constantly. Simmer for 1-2 minutes, until the eggs are cooked through.
