Uramaki Sushi

Uramaki Sushi is a type of sushi roll that originated in Japan. It is constructed in the same way as a normal sushi roll, but with the seaweed wrap on the inside, instead of the outside. It is often filled with a variety of ingredients, such as vegetables, fish, or meat. Uramaki Sushi is a popular type of sushi that is served in many sushi restaurants around the world.

Ingredients (2 Persons)

  • 4 cups cooked sushi rice
  • 1 cup sushi vinegar
  • 8 sheets nori seaweed
  • 2 avocados, thinly sliced
  • 1 cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 4 tablespoons sesame seeds

Directions

  • Step 1
    Mix the sushi vinegar with the cooked sushi rice. Spread the rice over a sushi mat and cover it with a sheet of nori.
  • Step 2
    Place the avocado and cucumber slices in the center of the nori. Sprinkle the sesame seeds over the vegetables.
  • Step 3
    Roll the sushi up tightly, using the sushi mat to help. Slice the sushi roll into 8 equal pieces.
  • Step 4
    Repeat with the remaining nori, rice, avocado and cucumber slices, and sesame seeds.
