Taiwanese Bubble Tea

Taiwanese Bubble Tea, also known as Boba, is a popular Taiwanese drink that was invented in the 1980s. It is made from black tea, milk, and chewy tapioca pearls. Bubble Tea is often served cold with a wide variety of flavors, from classic milk tea to fruity options such as mango and passionfruit. The drink has become popular around the world and can now be found in many countries. Ingredients (2 Persons)

  • 2 cups tea, brewed and cooled
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/4 cup simple syrup
  • 1/2 cup tapioca pearls
  • Ice cubes

Directions

  • Step 1
    Boil 2 cups of water in a pot and add in the tapioca pearls. Stir occasionally and cook for 10 minutes until the pearls are cooked through.
  • Step 2
    Drain the cooked pearls and rinse with cold water. Set aside.
  • Step 3
    Brew 2 cups of tea and let cool.
  • Step 4
    In a pitcher, mix the cooled tea, evaporated milk, and simple syrup. Stir until combined.
  • Step 5
    Fill 4 glasses with ice cubes and pour the bubble tea mixture over the ice.
  • Step 6
    Divide the cooked tapioca pearls into the 4 glasses and serve.
