Kung Pao Cauliflower

Kung Pao Cauliflower is a delicious and healthy vegetarian dish that is popular in Chinese cuisine. It is made by stir-frying cauliflower with a spicy, tangy sauce that is flavored with garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and chili peppers. Ingredients (2 Persons)

  • 3 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 medium head of cauliflower, cut into small florets
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon chili paste
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon minced ginger
  • 1/2 cup peanuts
  • 2 green onions, sliced

Directions

  • Step 1
    Heat the sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the cauliflower and cook, stirring frequently, until the cauliflower is lightly browned, about 5 minutes. Remove the cauliflower from the skillet and set aside.
  • Step 2
    In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, chili paste, and cornstarch. Set aside.
  • Step 3
    Add the garlic, ginger, and peanuts to the skillet and cook, stirring frequently, for 1 minute.
  • Step 4
    Add the cauliflower back to the skillet and pour the soy sauce mixture over it. Stir until the sauce is evenly distributed and the cauliflower is well coated.
  • Step 5
    Cook for 2-3 minutes, until the sauce thickens and coats the cauliflower. Serve with sliced green onions, if desired.
