Korean-Style Bulgogi Beef

Korean-Style Bulgogi Beef is a popular Korean dish made from thinly sliced beef marinated in a mixture of soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, and other seasonings. Ingredients (2 Persons)

  • 2 pounds thinly sliced beef sirloin steak
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons freshly grated ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Directions

  • Step 1
    In a medium bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and pepper. Stir until the sugar has dissolved.
  • Step 2
    Add the beef slices to the bowl and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight.
  • Step 3
    Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beef is cooked through.
  • Step 4
    Serve the bulgogi over steamed white rice, with a side of kimchi.
