Ingredients (2 Persons)

  • 1 block firm tofu
  • 2 cups cooked sushi rice
  • 4 sheets nori
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds

Directions

  • Step 1
Slice the block of tofu into 8 even slices. Pat dry with paper towels.
  • Step 2
Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add the tofu slices in a single layer and cook until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Flip the slices over and cook for another 2-3 minutes, until golden brown on both sides.
  • Step 3
Lay a sheet of nori on a sushi rolling mat. Spread 1/2 cup of cooked sushi rice over the nori, leaving a 1-inch border on the side closest to you.
  • Step 4
Place 2 slices of cooked tofu at the edge of the nori closest to you. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Fold the end of the nori over the tofu and rice, then use the rolling mat to finish rolling the sushi into a tight cylinder.
  • Step 5
Repeat the process with the remaining 3 sheets of nori and the remaining ingredients. Slice each roll into 8 even pieces.
