Indian Samosas
Indian Samosas are a type of savory pastry originating from the Indian subcontinent. Ingredients (2 Persons)
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 potatoes, boiled, peeled and mashed
- 1/2 cup peas
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Vegetable oil for frying

Step 1
In a large bowl, mix together the flour and salt. Slowly add in the oil and water, stirring until a dough forms.

Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and then flatten into a disc.

In a separate bowl, mix together the potatoes, peas, cumin, garam masala, and cayenne pepper.

Place a spoonful of the potato mixture onto the center of each disc. Fold the disc in half, pressing the edges together to seal.

Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the samosas until golden brown, about 5 minutes per side.
